NBA Trades: 4 Jerami Grant trades based on recent NBA rumors: Portland Trail Blazers

Figuring out where the Portland Trail Blazers go from here is like trying to figure out the meaning in the stars. There are rumblings that the Blazers star may have played his last game for the season and the soft rebuild may be on. Given that, any sort of Jerami Grant trade is confusing, but it likely means a restructure for next season.

One of Nassir Little or Anfernee Simons would need to be involved for the Pistons to bite. Going with Little keeps the more promising offensive prospect on the Blazers and gives the Pistons a player who continues to show strides with elite pedigree.

Jusuf Nurkic and Cody Zeller are shipped back to the Pistons as expiring salary filler, both of which could be bought out to seek other opportunities. A future protected first-round pick completes the deal because Detroit is taking back the lesser prospect.

This is better than the other packages because of the inclusion of salary relief, an okay prospect, and a pick. Objectively, this feels like the Pistons selling low on Grant, but that will depend on whatever the market ends up being.
