NBA Trades: Top 3 teams that should trade for Cam Reddish
Now that it’s 2022, NBA trades season is officially upon us. One of the most intriguing teams to watch in the coming weeks will be the Atlanta Hawks, who have followed up a surprising trip to the Eastern Conference Finals with a disappointing below-500 record so far this season.
The Hawks have a solid young core and shouldn’t be out of the playoff picture for long. Though whether that changes this season or down the road remains to be seen. That’s why they are believed to potentially be sellers at the trade deadline.
Atlanta has two players that are seemingly untouchable – Trae Young and John Collins. They also have a few players that seem almost predestined to be moved before the deadline, such as Danilo Gallinari.
NBA Trades: Cam Reddish could be an interesting trade target for teams looking for a young wing on an upwards trajectory.
Cam Reddish makes for an interesting case. He’s another young, versatile player who could be part of the team’s future. Reddish is averaging 12.3 points per game this season, though he was forced to leave Sunday’s game with an ankle injury.
On the other hand, Reddish is eligible for an extension this season, one the Hawks may not be willing to offer at as high of a price as the player wants. According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst (h/t HoopsHype), that could lead to him being on the move in the near future.
There are plenty of teams that should be interested in a young player who can start in the NBA and hasn’t entered his prime yet. Most teams interested in him will likely want him as a future piece, not just for this run. But everything is negotiable in today’s league.
Here are three teams that should target Reddish in the coming weeks.
