5 NBA 2K22 player overalls that do not make any sense: Talen Horton-Tucker – 77 OVR

While this is undoubtedly the least exciting player on the entire list, once you look at some of the role players Talen Horton-Tucker is a higher overall than, you begin to see why this rating makes such little sense.

In 25 games played this season, Talen Horton Tucker has averaged 11.0 PPG, 4.0 RPG, and 2.8 APG, while shooting 41.8 percent from the field and an abysmal 24.4 percent from 3. While Horton-Tucker can be a solid defender at times, it does not take away how bad he can be at everything else.

While this overall may not necessarily be bad for Talen Horton-Tucker, what bothers me are the players who share the same overall, or are a lower overall than Horton-Tucker who have been playing better than him this season. Here are some examples:

  • Patty Mills: 77 OVR
  • Malik Monk: 75 OVR
  • Immanuel Quickley: 77 OVR
  • Chris Duarte: 77 OVR
  • Luke Kennard: 76 OVR
  • Marcus Morris Sr.: 76 OVR
  • Coby White: 76 OVR

All of these players, along with many more, have been playing better than Talen Horton-Tucker all season, yet are given the same or lower overalls. This does not make sense.
