Each franchise worst player to have their jersey retired, Milwaukee Bucks: Junior Bridgeman

Stats: 13.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.5 apg

Junior Bridgeman was thought of highly coming into the 1975 NBA Draft, so much so that the Milwaukee Bucks decided to trade for him once the Los Angeles Lakers grabbed him with the eighth overall pick.

The expectations were high for Bridgeman. And while we aren’t saying he was a flop, we’re pretty baffled as to why his jersey is retired when we look at his numbers and lack of accomplishments.

The former shooting guard spent a decade wearing those dark green uniforms but averaged just 13.9 points per game. Bridgeman was crafty with the rock in his hands and relentless when attacking the basket but Milwaukee has retired the jerseys some of the greatest players of all time. When we juxtapose him to Oscar Robertson, Sidney Moncrief, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and others, Bridgeman is by far the worst player to have his jersey retired by the Bucks franchise.
