Blockbuster NBA trades for Russell Westbrook: Indiana Pacers

Pacers receive: Russell Westbrook, Talen Horton-Tucker, 2025 First-Round Pick

Lakers receive: Caris LeVert, Myles Turner, Jeremy Lamb

Is this trade absolutely crazy? 100 percent. Would it make much sense for the Indiana Pacers? Not really. Are the Pacers crazy enough to do it anyway?

Indiana has been on the record stating that they never want to tank. Their goal is to always be a competitive team and push for the playoffs.

Well, adding Russell Westbrook to the team would certainly do that. A trio of Westbrook, Domantas Sabonis, and Malcolm Brogdon should be enough to push them there.

Plus, they’d also be adding Talen Horton-Tucker to the mix. He’s a young prospect with a ton of potential that they could build with moving forward.

So this trade would actually be helping them both right now and for the future. They’d get a young stud, a first-round draft pick, and an aging star.

Meanwhile, the Lakers would be getting three quality pieces to help them compete for a championship right now. This could definitely help them shoot up the standings.

Caris LeVert is a straight-up baller who would provide them with an offensive spark outside of their star players. They could bring him off the bench and he’d dominate just like he did in Brooklyn.

Meanwhile, Myles Turner is the ideal big man to pair next to Anthony Davis. He can space the floor while also protecting the paint at an elite level.

Lastly, Jeremy Lamb is a great floor spacing guy to put next to LeBron James. This trade would be amazing for the Los Angeles Lakers.
