The Los Angeles Lakers have limped to a 16-16 record to start the season. After trading for Russell Westbrook this past offseason, things have not gone according to plan so far.

The team is far worse than most expected them to be. While injuries have certainly not helped the situation, the Lakers should most definitely be better than they are at the moment.

Recent NBA rumors revealed that Westbrook could be on the trade block. The fit hasn’t turned out the way Los Angeles would have wanted, so trading him away could be their best option.

While this may be true, it’s also important to note that Westbrook himself hasn’t necessarily been bad. The issue is simply that his fit on the Lakers is questionable at best.

What are some blockbuster NBA trades that would help Russell Westbrook find a new home away from the Los Angeles Lakers?

In his last 15 games, Westbrook has averaged 20.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 7.7 assists while shooting 49.1 percent from the field and 32.6 percent from deep.

These types of numbers could help out a lot of teams around the league. The Los Angeles Lakers just seemingly aren’t one of those teams, unfortunately.

His contract may scare some teams away, but with how close everything seems to be getting around the league, desperate times could call for desperate measures.

Blockbuster NBA trades don’t happen often, but one involving Westbrook this year would definitely fall under that category. That sort of deal would break the internet.

What are some NBA trades that would help find Westbrook a new home? What could the Lakers get back in return for the aging superstar?
