NBA Power Rankings: NBA Christmas games – 2. Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors

Unlike the Hawks/Knicks game, Suns/Warriors will surely provide elite basketball. Arguably the two best teams in the league, both are considered front-runners for the Western Conference crown.

They’ve dueled twice already this season, with the first being one of the more entertaining regular-season games in recent memory. While the Warriors ran away with a blowout win in the rematch, matchup No. 3 should be a stellar game.

Stephen Curry is once again an MVP candidate, while the Suns are one of the most well-rounded teams in the NBA. Phoenix doesn’t lack star power either, and Devin Booker has a chance to return from the injury he suffered back on November 30th by the time this game rolls around.

This could be a preview of the Western Conference Finals and is definitely a good reason to put down your new presents and flip on some hoops.

NBA Christmas Day history: The Warriors have consistently played on Christmas in the Stephen Curry era, with this year marking their ninth consecutive appearance. The Suns are breaking a long streak without a holiday matchup, with their last tinsel tilt coming in 2009.
