NBA Trades: 6 Jerami Grant trades to help the Detroit Pistons – New Orleans Pelicans

To preface this section, there is no reason for the New Orleans Pelicans to consider competing this season. However, general manager David Griffin appears to be in full-on job-saving mode, and with Zion Williamson possibly out for the entire season, bringing in talent that can work in the short term and be moveable down the line could work out. Luckily for them, they can easily make a deal work that does not cost them much in the long term.

Jaxson Hayes is firmly out of the rotation but would be well worth taking a chance on. The Pistons desperately need a lob threat to work alongside Cunningham and Killian Hayes.

The big man has not evolved much so far but would benefit from the change of scenery while utilizing his primary skill. Tomas Satoransky is on an expiring contract and is in place as a salary filler that would likely be waived.

The Pelicans could provide more in draft capital than most if they were motivated to do so. They have four second-round draft picks this season, future first-round picks from the Lakers and Bucks, as well as most of their own picks. Given that their on-court assets are lesser, attaching some amount of picks would be needed to get them in the game.
