NBA Trades: 2 blockbuster Ben Simmons three-team trades
By Jack Simone
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Ben Simmons trade talks are heating up. Things are “gathering momentum” and, supposedly, multiple teams are involved.
The drama surrounding Simmons has gone on for months now. The 6-10 guard has yet to suit up for the 76ers this season, citing that he is not mentally ready yet.
Philadelphia has fined Simmons multiple times, but he has yet to return. Simmons’ agent, Rich Paul, has outwardly stated that the team has not been supportive, yet the team says they have been.
NBA Trades: New rumors have surfaced, and a deal could likely end up being a three-team Ben Simmons trade
Regardless, these recent rumors make it seem as though a deal could be closer than most think. Could Simmons be traded by the deadline this season?
The report also stated that there is a growing chance that the deal will end up being a three-team trade. That begs the question, what other pieces are going to be involved?
Where will Ben Simmons end up going, and who will the Philadelphia 76ers get in return. Reports also indicate that they are aiming to get back a top-25 player in the NBA.
There aren’t many of those in the league. However, the 76ers reportedly have their eye on two players in particular – Damian Lillard and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. (They probably won’t get either of them).
As crazy as the idea of Philadelphia getting a top-25 player sounds, there are some interesting deals that can be thought up. Here are two NBA trades involving three teams that see Simmons move to a new home, and the 76ers get a top-25 (ish) player.
