NBA Trades: 4 big names that are dark horses to be traded – Joe Harris

Kyrie Irving is the big trade question surrounding the Nets. While that’s not likely to change until he’s traded or the deadline hits, Joe Harris is just as capable of being moved.

The Nets are as all-in as all-in can be. They’ll do whatever it takes to compete for this year’s championship, even if that means strengthening their already strong core.

Harris is owed between 17 and 19 million until 2024 and, like Wiggins, can be a very valuable piece in the contract-matching aspect of a trade. Perhaps he and Irving are packed together in some sort of blockbuster deal.

What doesn’t help Harris’ case is his somewhat lackluster output this season. The threes are still coming at an efficient pace (46.6 percent from deep) but he’s averaging just 11.3 points, his fewest since 2017-18.

Further, he’s dealing with an ankle injury that is expected to keep him out for around two months. The veteran sharpshooter is slated to return around the trade deadline, but whether that return will come with the Nets is uncertain, to say the least.
