Ben Simmons, Kyrie Irving, John Wall, the entire Pacers roster (apparently). You’ve heard all of the big names that are likely to be traded at some point during this NBA season.

I promise to stay away from those names here. For the most part. Instead, we’ll be searching for some other star players who could swap teams between now and the February 2022 trade deadline.

Between teams looking to hit the rebuild button or make a run for this year’s title, these under-the-radar trade targets could find themselves on the move.

NBA Trades: 4 big names that are dark horses to be traded – Andrew Wiggins

It seems silly to consider Andrew Wiggins a trade candidate. The former No. 1 overall pick has had a resurgence in the Bay Area, playing impressive ball on both ends and becoming a bonafide fan favorite.

But if the Warriors want to add an A-tier superstar to make yet another championship run, Wiggins would likely have to be included for money purposes.

Outside of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green (players who would never be traded from Golden State), Wiggins is the only player on the team that makes north of 10 million.

His contract (31 million per season) would be essential in any NBA trades if they want to acquire another big name with a big contract (Domantas Sabonis, anyone?).

More than just dollars and cents, he does have high trade value as well. The emerging forward is playing like an All-Star this season and is still just 26. He can be a talent that a new team can build around.
