Week 7 NBA power rankings: 24. San Antonio Spurs (8-13)

Rank last week: 27th

Record this past week: 3-0

The San Antonio Spurs have been winning by committee this past week. However, both Dejounte Murray and Derrick White are averaging around 20 points per game.

San Antonio always manages to look competitive for stretches throughout the season. That’s just the effect Gregg Popovich has on his teams.

Week 7 NBA power rankings: 23. Toronto Raptors (10-13)

Rank last week: 23rd

Record this past week: 1-2

This is where the teams begin to go from the bottom of the barrel to those who actually have a chance at the play-in. The Toronto Raptors haven’t been great, but they haven’t been awful, either.

Their three-headed monster of Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, and Pascal Siakam has been leading the way as they attempt to fight through injuries to OG Anunoby and Khem Birch.

Week 7 NBA power rankings: 22. Sacramento Kings (10-14)

Rank last week: 24th

Record this past week: 2-2

After getting blown out two nights in a row, the Sacramento Kings bounced back with two big-time wins over the LA Clippers. They’ve looked better since firing Luke Walton.

Terence Davis deserves a shoutout as well, as he’s been leading the team in scoring for the past week. As a whole, the team has six players averaging double digits over the last four games.
