Week 7 NBA power rankings: 30. Oklahoma City Thunder (6-16)

Rank last week: 26th

Record this past week: 0-3

The Oklahoma City Thunder may not have the worst record in the NBA, but losing to a team by 73 points (and setting an awful NBA record) puts them into last place.

After a solid start to the season, they have fallen all the way down to the bottom of the West. This looks more like the team most people were expecting to see at the start of the year.

Week 7 NBA power rankings: 29. Detroit Pistons (4-18)

Rank last week: 28th

Record this past week: 0-3

Cade Cunningham has looked great lately, but the Detroit Pistons are still struggling mightily. They are now officially (by record) the worst team in the NBA.

Their defense isn’t great, but when compared to their offense it looks a lot better. Detroit and Oklahoma City are teetering on having an offensive rating below 100 this season.

Week 7 NBA power rankings: 28. Orlando Magic (5-19)

Rank last week: 30th

Record this past week: 1-2

The Orlando Magic are extremely fun, but they are still one of the worst teams in the NBA. If fun was the meter this scale was rated on, then Cole Anthony and Franz Wagner would have this team in the top ten.

The real reason the Magic are no longer at the bottom of the power rankings is their innate ability to beat solid teams. A win over the Nuggets this past week takes them out of last place.
