NBA Trades for the Brooklyn Nets to get rid of Kyrie Irving: LA Clippers

Nets receive: Eric Bledsoe, Serge Ibaka, Justice Winslow, 2027 First-Round Pick, 2022 Second-Round Pick

Clippers receive: Kyrie Irving

Again, this is not a trade that the Nets would do under normal circumstances. They are clearly not getting the same value back that they are giving up.

However, if they do decide to move on from Irving, and his value is down the drain, a trade such as this one could help bolster their depth for a playoff run. They’d get three quality pieces back in return.

Eric Bledsoe isn’t going to be an elite shooter, but he’s a great defender who could help the Nets on that end. As for Serge Ibaka, he could help them by adding size down low – something they are lacking at the moment.

Justise Winslow hasn’t looked great this season, but he could give them an extra option at the wing. Then they’d even add a pick to help replenish their stockpile.

On the other side of things, the Clippers would add an All-Star point guard next to Paul George, and eventually Kawhi Leonard. That’s something Leonard has begged for ever since joining the team.

Irving would finally be able to play again because LA does not require vaccination in order to play. He and George would create a deadly combo this season.
