2021 second-round NBA rookies that already look like steals: Brandon Boston Jr.

This is more of a speculative pick, as Brandon Boston Jr. is currently thriving in the G League. However, when he has been up in the NBA, he’s impressed despite limited playing time. In the three instances that he played over 10 minutes, he averaged 10.0 points and 1.3 steals.

When he’s been down with the Agua Caliente Clippers, he’s been phenomenal. In a particularly strong showing on November 29th, he scored 46 points on 75 percent shooting.

This is a fantastic development for Los Angeles, as it wasn’t long ago that Boston was a highly-recruited prospect. Out of Sierra Canyon High School, he was a consensus five-star recruit and was expected to be a lottery pick.

His lone year at Kentucky was less than stellar, however, with the youngster struggling with efficiency and shot selection. If he can continue to prove that his collegiate career with a minor misstep and that can take his G-League brilliance to the NBA, he can be a major steal for the Clips.
