NBA: The 25 least deserving Hall of Famers of all-time: 18. Jamaal Wilkes

Stats: 17.7 ppg, 6.2 rpg

No matter how we tried to slice and dice it, we simply couldn’t find a way to sneak Jamaal Wilkes into the Hall of Fame. With solid career numbers of 17.7 points and 6.2 boards, how did Wilkes make his way into the Hall in the first place?

Granted, Wilkes was a valued member of four separate championship teams but he was never viewed as the man in any capacity.

Please, don’t take our scathing criticism of Wilkes the wrong way, he was a very good player. That much is clear by his three All-Star selections. Not only does he have three trips to the midseason classic but he was also a two-time All-Defensive team member and former Rookie of the Year.

Still, are there any MVP trophies sitting on his mantle? Was he ever considered one of the best players in the league? Of course not. Wilkes was a respected player who played his heart out every time he was on the court but if it was up to us, he would be removed from the Hall of Fame entirely.
