NBA: The 25 least deserving Hall of Famers of all-time
NBA: The 25 least deserving Hall of Famers of all-time: 23. Sarunas Marciulionis
Stats: 12.8 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 2.2 apg
While he was considered one of the best European players of all time, Sarunas Marciulionis was very much ordinary during his transient time in the NBA.
With underwhelming career averages of 12.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists spread across seven full NBA seasons, we are thoroughly unimpressed by what Marciulionis was able to accomplish.
Unlike most, however, Marciulionis was a pretty efficient player. He ended his career with a field goal percentage of 50.5%. Also, on two separate occasions, he shot over 40% from 3-point range. Still, Marciulionis has absolutely no accolades to speak of.
If his Hall of Fame status is pinned to his Euro work, that’s a poor argument. The NBA has always been known as the best league in the world. And while Marciulionis was able to dominate against lesser competition, once he stepped up to the plate and made his way to the NBA, he was very much a non-factor.
