NBA: The 25 least deserving Hall of Famers of all-time: 5. Vlade Divac

Stats:  11.8 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 3.1 apg

Vlade Divac has always possessed a ton of skills. The Serbian big man had a silky smooth touch in the low post, could knockdown shots from midrange and you could even consider him an innovator of sorts. Before it became fashionable for centers to take 3-pointers, Divac had that as a part of his offensive arsenal.

Divac was skilled but a Hall of Famer? That’s laughable. At no point was Divac considered the best center in basketball. To go even further, he was never even considered one of the best in the game.

In 16 seasons, Divac only pumped out three seasons in which he averaged a double-double. At his absolute best, he averaged 16 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game. Only once did he make an All-Star squad. And honestly, we’re scratching our heads trying to figure out how he got the nod in the first place.

During the 2000-01 season, Divac averaged 12 points per game. Now tell us, how does that result in an All-Star berth? Not only has he never made an All-NBA squad but he won exactly one Player of the Week award.

But while we believe Divac isn’t a Hall of Famer, fans of the Los Angeles Lakers believe otherwise. After all, Divac was one of the centerpieces in a trade that netted the Lakers Kobe Bryant.
