NBA: The 25 least deserving Hall of Famers of all-time
NBA: The 25 least deserving Hall of Famers of all-time: 6. Toni Kukoc
Stats: 11.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 3.7 apg
With three championship rings on his fingers, Toni Kukoc enjoyed his time as a key member of one of the greatest dynasties in NBA history.
The Chicago Bulls of the late 1990s will always be remembered for leaving a pile of NBA bodies when they walked inside of an arena. And while Kukoc was good, he wasn’t anything special.
Even during his best seasons, Kukoc wasn’t an otherworldly scorer. He averaged a career-high 19.7 points per game during the 2000-01 season. A few years prior, he had career highs of seven boards and 5.3 assists.
The winning was great, don’t get us wrong but Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen won championships without him. Outside of those glamorous rings, Kukoc doesn’t have much to show for during his time in the league. He was never an All-Star, didn’t come close to being named to an All-NBA team and he was never a household name.
With career averages of 11.6 points per game, we desperately need someone to explain to us why Kukoc should be considered one of the best players of all time. Simply put, he was nothing more than an inconsequential role player who benefitted from playing with arguably the best one-two punch ever.
