NBA Mock Draft: 2022 NBA Draft Lottery Big Board – 6. Jaden Ivey
Another of the fast risers in the class, Jaden Ivey returned to school and has answered the developmental call. He is a dynamic off-ball creator and has scored well this season.
Ivey already has a game with 27 points and eight rebounds this season (albeit against Indiana State). He has drastically improved his overall field goal percentage (39.9 percent as a freshman to 52.0 percent so far this season) and three-point percentage (25.8 v. 43.3) and has changed the projection of his career. While Hardy has raised questions, Ivey is making a case to be the best guard in the class.
NBA Mock Draft: 2022 NBA Draft Lottery Big Board – 7. Kendall Brown
A truly elite athlete, Kendall Brown continues to rise up draft boards. He is already an elite defensive prospect, and while his shot needs work, there is room for help.
Brown gets out and runs in transition, and is already a scoring threat in that regard. Switchability is the current name of the game for many NBA defenses, and Brown has the ability to guard one through four.
NBA Mock Draft: 2022 NBA Draft Lottery Big Board – 8. Patrick Baldwin Jr.
Coming out of high school as an elite prospect, Patrick Baldwin Jr. has not done much to assuage the concerns about his drive so far, playing for his father at the University of Milwaukee.
The level of talent around him makes winning games against other elite talents quite the challenge, so assessing Baldwin’s ability remains a challenge.
He is likely to be one of the more polarizing prospects as the draft season progresses. As they get into conference play, ideally, Baldwin’s talent will win out and he will showcase his Michael Porter Jr.-esque game to its fullest.
