NBA Mock Draft: 2022 NBA Draft Lottery Big Board – 3. Chet Holmgren

One of the prospects receiving the most hype during his high school career, Chet Holmgren has been something of a victim of circumstance thus far. Despite playing for a loaded roster, he is posting a line of 13.8 points. 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, and 2.5 assists per game while showing the ability to stretch the floor.

He has had a few games where he struggled and was unable to get a win against Paolo Banchero and the Duke Blue Devils. However, he is a dogged defender, and his mobility has to be appealing to scouts everywhere.

One of the fastest rising stars of the young college season, Jabari Smith went from outside of the lottery in the preseason to a potential top-three pick in dramatic fashion.

He has scored 20 plus points in four of his seven games so far. He has grabbed at least six rebounds in six of the games. Smith can defend on the perimeter and is a solid weakside defender inside the arc.

Despite his early-season struggles, Jaden Hardy is not the kind of prospect who should be taken lightly. He has great size for a shooting guard, and coming out of high school he profiled as an elite scoring threat.

He is still scoring at a decent level, but the efficiency is a struggle early on in the G-League. However, Hardy has looked solid defensively so far, so when the shot catches up his draft position will be clear.
