3 NBA players who need to step it up: Duncan Robinson

The Miami Heat’s Duncan Robinson is just not playing like himself.

Robinson, who recently signed a five-year, $90 million deal with the Heat, is scoring just 10.9 points a game. His field goal percentage has dropped to 36% from a career average of 44%.

Most startling, he’s shooting 32.8% from the three (down from 41%) and 62.5% from the free-throw line (down from 85.7%). It’s obvious that something is wrong with Robinson this season.

Robinson is aware that he’s having troubles, as he told the Miami Herald:

"“It’s particularly frustrating when you’re starting out a year and you’re starting with a clean slate. It’s a great thing that a team is winning. But at the same time, I want to feel like I’m doing my part and contributing. Guys are being super unselfish and putting me in situations to be successful and I don’t feel like I was capitalizing.”"

Luckily for the Heat, the rest of the team is doing quite well, and Miami is currently third in the East. Just imagine where they’d be if Robinson was playing like his old self. If he can turn things around, it would add a whole new dynamic to their rotation.
