Week 6 NBA Power Rankings: 1. Golden State Warriors (17-2)

Rank last week: 1st

Last week: (4-0) – vs. TOR (W), vs. PHI (W), vs. POR (W), @ LAC (W)

Offensive rating: 113.4 (2nd in NBA)

Defensive rating: 99.9 (1st in NBA)

The Golden State Warriors are the best team in the NBA. Despite a huge run by the Suns, the Warriors remain at the top of the power rankings for another week.

It’s comical how dominant Golden State has been this year. By the numbers, they have the best defense in the league and the second-best offense – that’s absurd.

Stephen Curry has continued his reign of terror over the NBA this year, and is the clear frontrunner for MVP. It’s his award to lose at this point in the season.

They just have everything going for them right now, and Klay Thompson even just got assigned to the G-League. Once he’s back, it’s over for the rest of the NBA.

Season outlook: The Warriors are the easy favorites to win the NBA championship right now. They look absolutely incredible, and Curry is playing as great as he ever has. Their dynasty might be officially back, and it will be a tall task for someone to knock them out of the playoffs this year.
