Week 6 NBA Power Rankings: 10. LA Clippers (11-9)

Rank last week: 12th

Last week: (2-2) – vs. DAL (W), vs. DAL (L), vs. DET (W), @ GSW (L)

Offensive rating: 105.2 (25th in NBA)

Defensive rating: 102.0 (2nd in NBA)

With Kawhi Leonard sidelined, the LA Clippers have still managed to put together a solid season so far. However, their defense is carrying them heavily.

They have one of the worst offenses in the NBA, yet their defense is one of the best. A huge part of that lack of offense is simply a lack of contributors.

Over the past week alone, Reggie Jackson and Paul George have put up well over 20 points a night, but no one else is doing much. It’s a two-man show on that end of the floor at all times.

Jackson does deserve a ton of credit, though. Without his offensive contributions, this team would be a lot worse than they currently are.

Season outlook: The Clippers were always going to be limited in what they could achieve this season with Leonard out, However, they have managed to find a nice little niche for themselves on the defensive end. They are a playoff team, but probably won’t do too much once they get there.
