Week 6 NBA Power Rankings: 30. Orlando Magic (4-17)

Rank last week: 26th

Last week: (0-4) – @ MIL (L), vs. CHA (L), vs. CHI (L), @ CLE (L)

Offensive rating: 101.0 (27th in NBA)

Defensive rating: 112.0 (29th in NBA)

The Orlando Magic may be one of the more exciting teams in basketball due to their young core, but they are also one of the worst right now. They are currently on a six-game losing streak.

Cole Anthony being injured has seriously hurt their chances of winning on a nightly basis. He has been their best player this season and has a serious case for the Most Improved Player award.

In his absence, Wendell Carter Jr. has been stepping things up in a big way. Although they lost, he put up a big performance over the Chicago Bulls – his former team.

Orlando is just going through the growing pains of a rebuild at the moment. Their young players are doing well, though, which is a good sign for the future.

Season outlook: The fact that they have so many young players showing a lot of potential is great for the Magic. This was always going to be a rebuilding year, so their top priority should be to develop their young core. They are well on their way to a top-five pick in the draft.
