Week 6 NBA Power Rankings: 20. Los Angeles Lakers (10-11)

Last week: (2-2) – @ DET (W), @ NYK (L), @ IND (W), vs. SAC (L)

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to be one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA. They may have gone 2-2 last week, but was it really an impressive 2-2?

First, let’s take a look at the two wins they got. The first was a win over the bottom-feeding Pistons, which they barely won, and the second was against the mediocre Pacers, in which they had to go to overtime.

Meanwhile, their two losses were against the Knicks, who are a solid team, and the Kings, where they lost in triple-overtime. It’s just not the way they pictured their season going.

Now, there are rumors that their head coach, Frank Vogel, is on the hot seat. It was only around 14 months ago that he led this team to an NBA championship.

Season outlook: At the start of the season, people were declaring the Lakers as the Western Conference champions. Now, it’s looking like they may struggle to make the playoffs. If something doesn’t change soon, this team may be stuck in the play-in… or worse.
