Top 3 NBA coaches most likely to get fired this season: 2. Frank Vogel, Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers are not working as they should be. When you look at the talent on the roster, their record should be much better. While you can blame Russell Westbrook’s uneven output or LeBron James’ absences for the chaos surrounding the team, the buck stops with coach Frank Vogel. Obviously, something isn’t working and it might just be his style.

It is important to remember that the Lakers’ front office sees its team as one on a deadline. They want to win another championship but they know they only have a limited amount of time to do so.

Within the next few seasons, LeBron James will retire and there is also a chance that Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and even Anthony Davis will find different teams to play on.

The clock is constantly ticking down for the Lakers, and it is vital that Vogel gets them back into contention as soon as possible.

It’s true that the Lakers won a championship just a few seasons ago, but a lot has changed since then. If Vogel isn’t able to get this squad deep in the postseason, there is a mighty large chance that he might be sent packing.
