NBA Rumors: What the Pacers fans said to LeBron James to get ejected
By Jack Simone
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James isn’t the most beloved NBA player throughout the league. For what he likely has to deal with, he usually is able to tune out all the noise around him.
That was not the case this past Wednesday night.
The Lakers took on the Indiana Pacers in a game that would end up being decided in overtime. Los Angeles took home the win, but that was not the story of the night.
With just over two minutes left in overtime, LeBron James dragged NBA referee Rodney Mott over to the sideline, pointing at two Pacers fans sitting courtside. Those fans were subsequently ejected from the game.

Twitter blew up in a fit of rage, with most calling James soft for getting fans thrown out of the game. He’s already highly criticized, and this just gave fans one more thing to trash him about.
While this may be an easy first reaction to the video, your opinion may change when you hear what the people were saying on the sidelines.
According to one YouTube commenter, as well as a fan who appears to be sitting behind the couple in a TikTok, it all started with the normal banter – telling LeBron he whines too much, etc. Just normal chirping.
However, according to various NBA rumors and those same videos, what put James over the edge was when the lady apparently told him that “I hope your son dies in a car wreck.” It doesn’t get much more personal than that, and anyone can agree that saying things like that is crossing the line and then some.
James reacted to the indecent after the game, which the Lakers won after he hit a clutch three near the end of overtime. He spoke about how he can normally handle the trash talk, but things like this are just too far.
“I would never say it to a fan and a fan should never say it to a player,” James said. If the comments about what the lady said are true, then he’s completely in the right in this situation.
The Los Angeles Lakers are struggling to keep their heads above water at the moment, but there have certainly been enough dramatics this season to keep fans engaged.
Between this and the Isaiah Stewart incident a few nights ago, LeBron James and the Lakers have been making headlines regardless. This fan went way too far, and again, if these NBA rumors are true, LeBron was right in getting them ejected.
