NBA: Ranking the league’s best third options: 23. Norman Powell, Portland Trail Blazers

For a number of years now, both CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard have carried the Portland Trail Blazers. Also, unfortunately for them, they’ve been forced to sit back and watch as the franchise has done little to nothing in the form of helping them on the offensive end.

At the moment, the Blazers third option on offense is Norman Powell. A very solid player and one who can fit in seamlessly into any system but not someone capable of taking you over the championship hump.

All around, Powell doesn’t have many flaws in his game. He’s a pretty efficient shooter and doesn’t massage the ball once it touches his hands. The problem for both Powell and the Blazers is that he isn’t overwhelmingly great in any one area of the game.
