NBA: Ranking the league’s best third options: 8. Jaren Jackson Jr., Memphis Grizzlies

There’s something a bit off with the game of Jaren Jackson Jr. Over the years, the talented forward has flashed moments of greatness and incredible potential. In his best season, Jackson managed to drop over 17 points a game.

But while he’s enticed several NBA staffers, he seems to be regressing a bit. With multiple injuries saddled to his young body, Jackson simply doesn’t look like the same player who can take over a game.

Admittedly, however, his 14.3 points per game are pretty solid but he isn’t what we would consider a number one option. At least, not anymore. That said, with his ability to score on the inside, knock down the long ball, and hit free throws at a near 90% clip, he’s one of the best third options in the entire NBA.
