NBA: Ranking the league’s best third options: 15. Bogdan Bogdanovic, Atlanta Hawks

If we hooked up several members in the front office of the Atlanta Hawks to a lie detector test, they would have a hard time saying they’re happy with Bogdan Bogdanovic this year.

In each of his first four seasons, the smooth shooting two guard continued to get better and better. He went from averaging 11.8 points per game in his rookie year to 16.4 in year four. Currently, Bogdanociv is dropping just 12.4 points per game. To be fair, he has dealt with a number of injuries. Still, when he’s right, he’s a great third option.

Just last season, Bogdanovic was on the brink of joining the 50/40/90 club. He went on to average 90.9% from the free throw line, 43.8 from behind the arc, and 47.3% from the field. Bogdanovic isn’t the best third option in the league today but he is one of the most efficient.
