NBA Trades: One Ben Simmons trade for every NBA team – Milwaukee Bucks

Continuing the trend, this is a trade that would never happen. There is no reasonable trade for the Milwaukee Bucks to bring in Ben Simmons. In lieu of being reasonable, the choice is to go with what may be the most fun trade between the teams to happen.

Jrue Holiday was brought in as the defensive playmaking guard that solidified the Bucks as the team that would ultimately win it all last season. Despite the edge in shooting that Holiday has, the defense and passing Simmons brings to the table are arguably better.

The importance of this move would be bringing Holiday back to the place where his career started. Holiday made his lone All-Star appearance as a member of the Sixers and was only moved as the signal that “The Process” was truly underway.

Allowing him to return to Philadelphia to try to help another generational big man secure the first championship of his career would be a fun career narrative for the veteran guard if nothing else.

Again, this trade is not happening. These two teams consider themselves to be too close rivals and the move would be construed as something of a lateral move for both. However, if the teams ever decided to lead into the way networks cover the league, where storylines reign supreme, this would be a good one.
