NBA Trades: One Ben Simmons trade for every NBA team – Miami Heat
The type of deal that is only concocted for those that love to watch the world burn. No realistic NBA trades for the Miami Heat make any sort of sense. Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler are the pillars that this era of the franchise has been built on. Duncan Robinson cannot be traded until after the trade deadline and there is only one salary that can make a Ben Simmons trade even close to feasible.
Kyle Lowry was connected to the Sixers at last season’s trade deadline and again during the offseason. His connections to the city go back quite far and he would have been the perfect point guard for the Sixers had he chosen them over the Heat. He did not, however, and going back on that now feels like an impossibility.
Beyond the challenge of putting together a reasonable Ben Simmons trade package, the history between Simmons and Butler is well-chronicled and unlikely to be something that either player would be clamoring to rehash.
The fit on the court is murky, to put it lightly, and the chemistry fit is somehow even worse. No matter how much Miami has been noted to be a star-hunting franchise, this is not the star for them.
