Trade ideas always get the NBA universe buzzing. This season, most of those discussions have centered on Ben Simmons. There was news last week that the Philadelphia 76ers have a rather lengthy list of players that they would be willing to take back in any NBA trades for the perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate.

We will not be prognosticating one who would get waived in the situation that a Ben Simmons trade would result in too many players on a given roster. We also will not be addressing the specific draft compensation that would have to be involved to consummate a Ben Simmons trade, given how over the top some of those inclusions have been in recent seasons. This is simply about the kind of players that could be brought in to benefit Joel Embiid and the rest of the roster.
