NBA Power Rankings: 25. Sacramento Kings (6-11)

Rank last week: 24

Last week: (1-3) – @ DET (W), @ MIN (L), vs. TOR (L), vs. UTA (L)

Offensive rating: 108.9 (11th in NBA)

Defensive rating: 109.6 (24th in NBA)

The Sacramento Kings have been a hub for drama all season long. Not only are they struggling on the court, but they are seemingly struggling in other areas, too.

Not only is the Marvin Bagley III saga still going on, but they have even more issues to address now. Apparently, Luke Walton’s job is in jeopardy and they could have to adapt to a new head coach.

In addition, veteran center Tristan Thompson called out the team for a lack of effort. He spoke to the media after a loss to Minnesota, saying that the team shouldn’t have to be inspired by a coach.

The Kings are looking to make the playoffs for the first time in forever this season. So far, things aren’t going too well on that front.

Season outlook: With how rough they are looking, the Kings’ chances of making the playoffs seem slim at the moment. Barring a surge from De’Aaron Fox, the Kings will probably be in the lottery once again this year. That’s not at all the way fans wanted to see the season go.
