Ranking all 30 NBA jerseys: 3. Golden State Warriors

If you notice, nearly all of the entrants in the Top 10 do not feature their logo on the front of the jersey. It’s hard to do so and look classy. The teams that do it are replacing a letter in their name with the logo, i.e. the Jazz and Spurs. The Golden State Warriors are the exception to this rule.

Their logo is iconic, and instantly recognizable as the Golden Gate Bridge to anyone, NBA fans or non-fans alike. Their location name is “Golden State,” but just at a glance, you know this team plays in The Bay area.

Placing the number inside of the circle ensures there is enough space, and because the logo is the primary image on the jersey, the words encircling it works in a way that the Indiana Pacers’ look does not.

Now for the coup de grace: the Statement Edition jersey. Check it out here in all its glory. The all-gold works in a way not every color does, and the shade is just dark enough not to overwhelm you. The circular logo is different, and not as recognizable, but it looks cool and you know where they are from with “The Bay” just above.

Golden State also deserves a shout-out for its numerous, and excellent, alternate jerseys. From their black “The Town” Oakland jerseys to a number of sweet Chinese New Year looks, this team gets it right every year.

Wife Take: Well, the man I love wears this jersey all the time [I am a Warriors fan] so I’ve been subtly brainstormed into believing this is a good jersey. I do like that the logo is so recognizable – you know exactly where it is from.
