Ranking all 30 NBA jerseys: Which team reigns supreme?
Ranking all 30 NBA jerseys: 4. New York Knicks
You could rank 2-5 on this list in any order that you like. The New York Knicks deserve to be second, and they could easily fall to No. 5. Fourth feels like the right spot for a team with so much history and fame tied into their signature blue-and-orange look.
Some opening thoughts: “Knickerbockers”, or Knicks as it is officially now, is a ridiculous name but also wholly unique to this team. Their logo is fine but nothing special. Therefore, it’s a solid move for the Knicks to avoid their team name entirely, sticking to “New York” emblazoned across their chests.
It’s a look that has stood the test of time, hearkening back to the pair of titles the Knicks won in the 1970s with Willis Reed and Walt “Clyde” Frazier. Their white jersey is the best, with orange lettering that pops and subtle blue outlines and accents.
The blue is almost as good, again with the bold orange. Their Statement edition would be better if it wasn’t being compared to the standard pair, but the colored piping is sharp.
Wife Take: This looks like a classic, run-of-the-mill jersey. Nothing to note.
