Ranking all 30 NBA jerseys: 7. Philadelphia 76ers

If you are going to like the jerseys for the Philadelphia 76ers, you have to like red, white, and blue, and then you have to like the shortened “Phila” version of Philadelphia because they have done that for all three versions of their standard uniform. If that’s the case, then you’re golden. Me? I like both of those things, which places “Phila” at number seven.

The red Statement Edition seen above is the best. The sea of red with the thick blue stripes makes all of the white pop. The gorgeous cursive-like script, the numbers, the secondary logo on the shorts, and especially the stars down the side.

There are 13 total stars, six on one side and seven on the other – a nod to the 13 colonies and, more specifically, to the Bicentennial jerseys worn by Julius Erving and the 76ers back in 1976.

The jerseys look good in blue and white, especially with the primary logo popping on the shorts. All three jerseys also have the words “Brotherly Love” on the waistband, which is a nice touch.

Wife Take: I like that it has a unified look, but I don’t like the abbreviation of the word Philadelphia. As a general rule, I don’t like abbreviations, but Philadelphia is kind of long so I understand. But I don’t have to like it.
