Week 4 NBA Power Rankings: 26. Orlando Magic (3-10)

38. . 3-10. Previous: 27th. Orlando Magic. 26. team

Last week: (1-2) – vs. UTA (W), vs. BKN (L), vs. WAS (L)

Offensive rating: 100.7 (27th in NBA)

Defensive rating: 110.1 (26th in NBA)

The Orlando Magic have been one of the more exciting teams in the NBA so far. Cole Anthony and Franz Wagner are proving to be a super fun young duo.

Despite a huge upset win over the Jazz to start the week, they still find themselves in a similar position in the power rankings. This is largely in part to the blowout loss they suffered at the hands of the Nets.

Based on those two teams alone, it’s clear that Orlando had a very tough schedule this past week. The Wizards are no slouch this season, either.

However, this season isn’t about wins and losses for the Magic. Their main focus is the development of their young core and finding out which pieces will be there to stay for the long haul.

Season outlook: The Magic are going to be a lottery team and that’s exactly where they want to be. This team is too young and inexperienced to make a push for the play-in. Nabbing a top lottery pick and the elite-level talent that comes with it should do wonders for this squad.
