Week 4 NBA Power Rankings: 1. Golden State Warriors (11-1)

11-1. Previous: 4th. Golden State Warriors. 1. team. 41.

Last week: (4-0) – vs. HOU (W), vs. ATL (W), vs. MIN (W), vs. CHI (W)

Offensive rating: 112.8 (2nd in NBA)

Defensive rating: 98.7 (1st in NBA)

There was never any doubt as to who should be the number one team in these power rankings. The Golden State Warriors have been the best team in basketball this year by far.

At this rate, the race between Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant for MVP is as real as can be. If Curry’s Warriors continue to win at this pace, Durant might be in for an uphill battle.

They are the only team in the entire NBA with a top-five defense and a top-five offense. Not only that, but they have the best defense in the league by a wide margin.

This past week was their first real test of the season and they absolutely aced it. They took down some solid opponents and took care of business against the subpar ones. Absolute perfection.

Season outlook: This team should already be considered a favorite to win the NBA championship. However, the real X-factor will be Klay Thompson. Somehow, this team still has room to get better. Adding Thompson to this already amazing roster will only make the Warriors even more deadly.
