Week 4 NBA Power Rankings: 30. Houston Rockets (1-11)

Previous: 28th. Houston Rockets. 30. team. 169. . 1-11

Last week: (0-3) – @ GSW (L), vs. DET (L), vs. POR (L)

Offensive rating: 99.8 (28th in NBA)

Defensive rating: 107.6 (18th in NBA)

The Houston Rockets have looked ugly on both ends of the floor this year. That fact was only further cemented into reality during this past week of basketball.

They were a bottom-ten defensive team and a bottom-five offensive team. This was never supposed to be a winning season for them, though, so it’s not the end of the world.

Christian Wood is still their top scorer on the season, but even he’s taken a tumble in recent games. Instead, it’s been Jae’Sean Tate leading the team in the scoring column.

Rookie Jalen Green continues to struggle with efficiency, but few rookies tend to figure things out right from the jump. That being said, a loss to Cade Cunningham and the Pistons definitely stung.

Season outlook: In reality, Houston is right where they want to be this season – in the hunt for the number one overall pick. As they attempt to rebuild in the post-James Harden era, getting as many top picks as possible will be the best way to improve moving forward.
