Portland Trail Blazers rumors and drama: Damian Lillard gets off to a rough start

If there is any chance of Damian Lillard staying with the Portland Trail Blazers, they have to play very well all season. And if there is any chance of them playing very well all season, Damian Lillard needs to be at the top of his game.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case so far. This season has been particularly rough for Lillard. He has shown moments of brilliance and is still one of the best point guards in the league,  but he hasn’t been performing like his usual self.

Dame has been averaging about 20 points a game on 38% shooting. Those are career lows for him. The team itself is suffering because of his atypical output. Their current record is 5-7, which makes them 10th seed in the Western Conference.

Lillard is obviously frustrated with the way he and his team are performing. He has been complaining about NBA officiating and has called it “unacceptable.” He is clearly unhappy with the way the season is going.

If Lillard doesn’t get back on track and if the team continues to experience problems, both on and off the court, there is little doubt that he will be departing before the season is complete. The Portland Trail Blazers need some positive news soon if they hope to make things right and keep the best player on their roster around.
