Portland Trail Blazers rumors and drama: President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey is under investigation

At the beginning of November, the Blazers announced that they were opening an investigation into President of Basketball Operations Neil Olshey. According to various reports, Olshey has been accused by employees of creating a toxic work environment for years. Past and present staff members have claimed to be intimidated and subjected to profanity-laced bullying.

The investigation is being run by O’Melveny & Myers and is expected to last for a few weeks.

Olshey joined the organization back in 2012 and has helped the team enjoy multiple successful seasons, although they have never met their goal of reaching the NBA Finals. If he ends up resigning because of this investigation, it will certainly have an impact on the team and some of its biggest players, such as Damian Lillard. Lillard is known to have a close relationship with Olshey.

Lillard is also known to hate drama. There is a chance that all of the conflicts happening behind the scenes in Portland, such as this investigation, could cause him to decide it’s time to finally leave the Blazers.
