For most NBA stars, being named an NBA All-Star is a dream come true. There are only so many players who can be named to the game each year, so it really is quite an honor.
Each conference only names five starters (two guards, three frontcourt players) and seven reserves (two guards, three frontcourt players, two wild cards). The wild card players can be of any position.
Last year, there were a ton of first-time All-Stars, and there could be more who make the game this year. With how weird the NBA is shaping out, anyone could make the game.
With that being said, let’s start keeping track of which players are most likely to make the All-Star game. Who is going to be playing in the 2022 NBA All-Star game?
NBA All-Star Predictions: Week 3 power rankings
How this will work is every Monday a list of 12 players will come out. Those 12 players are the ones who are most likely to make the All-Star game if it were to start that day.
It’s important to note that this is all a matter of opinion, and some people could think differently than others. That being said, there are a bunch of factors that will go into this.
First and foremost, the individual players’ success will have to be accounted for. In addition to that, how well their team is doing will play a big role, as a player on a winning team should make the game over someone on a losing team.
Also, predicting starters is too difficult, as that comes down to fan voting. There will be no delegated starters, and the players will be organized in ABC order, as well as by guards (G) and frontcourt players (F).
There will also be a section for players who just missed the cut. Without further adieu, who would make the All-Star game if it were to start right now, just three weeks into the season?
