Week 3 NBA power rankings: 23. Indiana Pacers

23. team. 100. . 3-7. Previous: 25th. Indiana Pacers

Last week: (2-1) – vs. SAS (W), vs. NYK (W), @ POR (L)

Offensive rating: 109.2 (8th in NBA)

Defensive rating: 109.9 (25th in NBA)

The Indiana Pacers were one of the many teams who got off to a rough start to the season. However, they have been picking up the pace again lately.

They went 2-1 last week, including a solid win over the New York Knicks. Indiana’s loss to the Trailblazers isn’t ideal, but it was only by four, so it’s not the end of the world.

Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis are leading the team in scoring, but rookie Chris Duarte is the story of the season for them so far. He’s been an elite three-point shooter for them, which is something they desperately needed.

Caris LeVert recently returned to the lineup as well, which is giving them a much-needed boost. He’s been scoring in double digits on a nightly basis for them

Season outlook: The Pacers are always a team who tries to fight for the playoffs but never ends up making much noise once they get there. Despite this, their organization refuses to hit the rebuild button. It could be a long year for Indiana fans.
