TikTok has taken the world by storm in the past two years. Well, one Oklahoma City Thunder player is taking full advantage of that fact.

This year’s rookie class is one of the best in recent memory so far. Players such as Scottie Barnes, Evan Mobley, and Franz Wagner highlight a very deep and talented class.

Another name that deserves to be thrown in that ring is Josh Giddey. However, he’s making a name for himself in more places than just on the basketball court.

In the past few weeks, the 19-year-old Australian rookie has taken TikTok by storm. Every video he’s posted in the past month or so has garnered over one million views on the platform.

So far he has amassed 338.4 thousand followers on the platform and 8.3 million likes. Those numbers keep on growing every day, too.

Giddey is most famous for a viral sound of Drake saying “breathe, breathe, don’t tell me to breathe… bring me a shot.” He has overlayed this sound over various videos, joking about different topics as well.

One of his more famous TikToks is captioned, “when she tells u she hugged some guy in 5th grade,” with that sound layered over it. The majority of the videos are some variation of this, with Giddey getting jokingly upset.

Even his family has gotten in on the action, with his sister posting a TikTok using the same sound. One user commented something to the effect of, “petition to only let Giddey family members use this sound.”

The Broadcast Boys even made a TikTok titled, “The GOAT Life of Josh Giddey.” The duo is associated with House of Highlights and has done a ton of videos breaking down the life of celebrities in a light-hearted way.

Giddey has not only been taking social media by storm, but he’s backing up that fame with his on-court play. The Oklahoma City Thunder may not be winning many games, but Giddey has been playing well.

He’s averaging 10.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 6.1 assists on the season. Giddey is the fourth-leading scorer on the Oklahoma City Thunder, second on the team in rebounds, and leads them in assists.
