Ranking all 30 2021-2022 NBA City Edition jerseys: 12. Philadelphia 76ers

From here on out we are truly splitting hairs. The Philadelphia 76ers did an amazing job putting these jerseys together. The dark blue really makes the colors on the side paneling stand out without them having to monopolize the body of the jersey.

Paying homage to the Philadelphia Forum, an iconic sports arena, is a nice nod as well. Everything about these uniforms is a love letter to their storied history.

Ranking all 30 2021-2022 NBA City Edition jerseys: 11. Brooklyn Nets

Stunningly, harkening back to the time the Brooklyn Nets played in the much less cool New Jersey turned into a fantastic aesthetic choice. The blue and red crackle is markedly different from the myriad of black options the team has featured since their northern move. Putting the new “B” in the classic logo the team wore in the Finals in the early part of the century was a masterstroke.

Ranking all 30 2021-2022 NBA City Edition jerseys: 10. Detroit Pistons

Possibly my most biased choice given my fandom, allow me to defend having the Detroit Pistons jerseys so high. Fans of the organization have been clamoring for them to try something different.

The chrome jerseys of yore have never looked good and fans have either wanted the red of the “Goin to Work” teams or the teal of the 1990s brought back into the fold.

Both happened, though the latter was significantly more subtle than the former. The return of the horse logo and the lightning bolts are just icing on the cake.
