So, where do the Boston Celtics go from? To be quite honest, they probably go nowhere, in terms of the makeup of their roster for this season.

Their only real option to shake things up would be to trade someone like Smart, Josh Richardson, or Dennis Schroder. That is, unless, they decide to make some drastic changes.

Of course, that is alluding to the idea of trading one of their All-Star wings. For most Boston Celtics fans, trading one of them would be a crazy stunt to pull off.

There was a period last season where some wanted to trade Jaylen Brown. However, this season, trading Brown would make little to no sense, as he’s been far better than Jayson Tatum so far.

With that being said, trading either of them is pretty crazy. Both are still extremely young and have plenty of time to grow, regardless of these struggles.

At the same time, a Marcus Smart trade is also fairly unlikely. He may have a flair for the dramatic, but his great performance vs. the Magic last night proves that he isn’t necessarily wrong, either.

So, that leaves Brad Stevens in a bit of a pickle. The easiest answer to all of this is to wait and see if it resolves itself throughout the course of the season.

If the team is still having some behind-the-scenes issues by the time the offseason rolls around, then some change will be more than necessary.

However, until then, it seems as though this Boston Celtics team is here to stay. Fans can only hope that the off-court drama gets resolved because if not, it’s going to be a rough year for Beantown.

Next. Time to be concerned about Ime Udoka’s coaching decisions. dark
