NBA: Most likely first time All-Stars from each team: Charlotte Hornets – LaMelo Ball

If LaMelo Ball doesn’t make the All-Star team this season, it’ll be because the Charlotte Hornets are underachieving, not because Ball isn’t producing on the court.

With 15.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists, Ball easily took home the Rookie of the Year last season. The now second-year player has it all. He can splash 30-footers, dunk over defenders, make fancy behind-the-back passes and do whatever else you need him to do on the court.

If we’re being candid here, being an All-Star isn’t just about the numbers but it also takes a bit of charisma, something Ball isn’t lacking.

Let’s face it, LaVar Ball, LaMelo’s father, got it right when he predicted that his youngest son would be the best of his bunch. Ball is, for lack of better words, gonna ball. He’s simply terrific everywhere on the court and he appears to be a true superstar in the making. The biggest problem for him going forward is that the Hornets are pretty awful. If they can lock in a top six seed during the first half of the season, Ball is a virtual lock for the All-Star Game this season.
