NBA: Most likely first time All-Stars from each team: Chicago Bulls – Lonzo Ball

The NBA as a whole has made a ton of eye-catching great moves this past off-season. From the Los Angeles Lakers nabbing point guard Russell Westbrook, to the Miami Heat getting their hands on Kyle Lowry, the landscape for a ton of teams has changed.

Because of that, the Chicago Bulls have quietly gone under the radar. Of course, they managed to sign former All-Star DeMar DeRozan but another move they made, which we believe will prove to be sagacious, was when they picked up Lonzo Ball.

Thanks to Ball’s father, LaVar, Lonzo came into the league with a ton of expectations heaped onto his shoulders. Lonzo may have proved to be a solid player but he didn’t appear to be a transcendent baller. With each passing year, however, Ball has gotten better and better. More importantly, his father has put a sock in it.

Ball has always been a solid scorer, averaging a career-high 14.6 points per game this past season. We all know he can dish the rock, averaging at seven assists in two of his four seasons thus far. The one problem for Ball has been his 3-point shot. At least it used to be an issue. With back-to-back seasons of Ball swishing at least 37% from behind the line, you simply can’t leave him open.

The Bulls are going to have a top-four record in the Eastern Conference this season and Ball is going to play a big part in that. If his recent triple-double is any indication, Ball is in for a huge year. That in turn, will push him to his first All-Star team.
